Thank you dear Willi for the good and beautiful tour! We'll do it again in 2024!

Distance - around 98 km Time - 8:40 hours Although most of the tour took place right next to the busy federal highway, both along the Rhine and the Moselle, it was still quite good. There were also some beautiful sections. I liked the stretch to Koblenz best, above the Moselle, along the vineyards. On this section, I enjoyed delicious vineyard peaches. If I hadn't stopped in the forest at the beginning of the tour, just before Boppart, for the Himmelsleiter (Stairway to Heaven), my bike wouldn't have fallen over, and my right rear brake lever wouldn't have broken. Now I have to check tomorrow where there's a bike repair shop in Emmelshausen and see if they can repair it on the spot.

Today's bike tour started in Boppard with the Hunsrück railway (Regio) to Emmelshausen. From there we drove the bike path to Burgen on the Moselle. On the Hunsrückhöhe you have a wonderful panoramic view. From Burgen we drove along the Moselle to Koblenz, had our lunch break there and then drove along the Rhine back to our vehicles in Boppard. A wonderful tour with dear friends and laughter was not neglected either! Did you plan well Willi! ✊👏 Thank you! Edgar took a lot of pictures with his camera and if he sent them to me, I'll add them to the tour! If you are interested, you have to watch the tour again 2 days later.

There is no other way to say it: it is simply a dream landscape here! 🥰 And the weather was kind to us today after the day of arrival was rainy. But that's how it is. 👍 We woke up in sunshine and with the steaming Moselle outside the window, but then it clouded over again and the photographer was a bit annoyed by the weather. 🙁 Luckily it was supposed to clear up soon and it did! We followed the Moselle on its last few kilometers on a beautiful route until it flows into the Rhine at the Deutsches Eck in Koblenz. That is a place you really want to have been to! 😊 Afterwards it was high time for coffee and cake and a short tour of the old town. We thought about what we could do with the beautiful day that had just begun and decided to cycle a little further along the impressive Rhine. It was impressive: the wide river and one castle after the other! 😍 The return journey was quite relaxed - apart from a few other people - by train. Why do people stand in front of the doors of a full train arriving so that no one can get out?? It's hopeless! Taking your bike with you is free here! 👍

Today we started at 9:30 a.m. in Burgen, continuing along the Moselle and through the vineyards. In Röttgen, the wine-growing ended. We then cycled through the villages and past numerous campsites along the Moselle to Koblenz. From Koblenz, we followed the Rhine, continuing along the beautiful route to Boppard. The weather was hot today. We reached our destination around 3:00 p.m.
