Our calves are on fire and thanks to a short stop at the Refugio, we even made it down to the bottom reasonably dry. The switchbacks up to the summit are extremely hard on the calves!
The hike through the beautiful granite landscape of the Cirque de Pessons, with its striking mountain formations, is one of Andorra's highlights. The starting point was the Grau Roig ski resort. From there, the hike continued past various lakes, climbing ever higher to the Pessons summit (2,788 m). From there, you have a fantastic view over the 17 lakes and even as far as the French Carlit massif. The ascent was easier for me than the descent... All in all...a wonderful tour!!!
