Levadas - waterways These paths run along the water channels - and are therefore not steep. The entrance to these levadas is just behind the church in picture 1. Well suited for hiking 🥾, so there are lots of 🚶🚶♀️ on the way. The ice-cold Coke at the end, down at the 'base station' in picture 2, tasted fantastic, even in the heat!
For a change, something easier to run. Is also one of the highlights of the island.
