Whether summer or winter, the Sellaronda remains one of the most renowned itineraries in the Dolomites. This iconic tour of the Sella massif, also known as "The tour of the four passes", connects four Ladin valleys through the magnificent Dolomite passes: Pordoi pass, Campolongo pass, Gardena pass and Sella pass.

The itinerary that I propose in this Collection follows the classic clockwise tour and uses seven ski lifts, reducing a positive difference in altitude of 3,200 meters to a more accessible climb of 400 metres. The Sellaronda can start from any of the four valleys: in this Collection the route begins in Selva di Val Gardena, easily reachable also by public transport, such as bus line 350 (https://www.valgardena.it/it/bus -schedule/), from Bolzano.

This Tour is longer and technically more demanding than the Latemar Tour. I therefore recommend it to more experienced riders, especially to get back to the opening hours of the lifts (usually from 8.30 to 17.30) and to fully enjoy the views, perhaps stopping for lunch in one of the refuges along the route. It is necessary to purchase a lift ticket valid for all four areas (sellaronda-mtb.com/it/prezzi-sellaronda-mtb-track-tour.php) to access the lifts.

Have fun and happy descents!

From the Gardena Pass, you have an unforgettable panoramic view of the surrounding peaks and mountain ranges of the Dolomites. To the south rises the Sella massif, to the north the Cir peaks tower steeply. To the west you can see the famous Sassolungo, and to the east the view extends to the peaks of the Val Badia. Besides numerous cable cars that ascend to the surrounding mountains, you will also find various accommodations at the Gardena Pass.

Circumnavigate the impressive Sella massif in a single day. This is made possible by a total of seven lifts and the Super Summer Ticket, which reduce the 3,200 metres in altitude that you would otherwise have to climb to a moderate 400 metres. This turns an undertaking impossible for normal bikers into a fabulous dream tour for experienced mountain bikers …

Sellaronda clockwise... the tour is a dream with the weather in August. The tour is demanding. My question as to whether you can take a trekking bike with full suspension for this tour was answered within the first few kilometers...not in my opinion. A MTB or an eMTB is best. I met guys on the tour who had several flat …

The Sellaronda ... really mega 🤩🤩
The weather was mostly sunny and warm ☀️ except for... the first thunderstorm we sat out in a shelter, the second (with heavy gusts of wind) IN the gondola 😱😱 and in the drafty gondola house on the summit 🥶, the third then in the bar 😂😂
And then completely muddy to get on …

Once around the Sella group in one day. Possible by 9 mountain railways. Sell Ronda clockwise is the downhill oriented loop. You only have to drive 450 meters in altitude yourself, but you can rock 4210 meters of depth on at least 9 trails. For somewhat experienced trail riders, everything is easy to drive, otherwise it can usually be bypassed. …

At the bottom of this page it says: "This route was planned by komoot." Does it mean it was Automatically generated by Komoot or that a user used it to create it, or that user rode it and saved it as he rode it? I want to ride this beginning of September and not get lost + ride best S2-S3 trails.
