The colors and different structures look like a construction waste dump, at least to me.
Absolutely overcrowded. Otherwise, a very beautiful route.
Really nice tour! The many colorful layers of rock are absolutely worth seeing. Good coffee and delicious snacks await you in the café on the edge of the world. If you like, you can get in the boat there and be driven back to the parking lot. Very muddy in wet weather! It's best to take a change of shoes with you.
This peninsula of volcanic origin is nine kilometres long. It is followed by the Ilhéu do Desembarcadouro (Ilhéu da Mede or Cevada) and the Ilhéu do Farol (Ilhéu da Ponta de São Lourenço or de Fora). Due to the semi-arid climate of this area and exposure to northerly winds, the vegetation is low and treeless. The landscape of Ponta de São Lourenço could not be more contrasting with the rest of the island.
Up and down... But even if it's tough on your legs, it's worth it. The view is fantastic. The trail is a tourist hotspot. If you want to hike alone, this isn't the place for you. But since everyone is considerate of one another, it's not a problem even in narrow spots.
A great hike, especially the last part with the view of the neighboring island is strenuous, but worth it.
