20km on foot to discover and enjoy the most emblematic spots of Pilat! Departing from Doizieux, the first 7 km of climbing wind through the woods to the legendary Jasserie refuge (be careful, the inn is very often full). A few more meters of altitude difference to reach the highest point of the massif, the Crêt de la Perdrix at 1432m and its orientation table. The reward is a 360°C view of the Alps, the Ardèche and the Massif Central. We then follow the ridges of La Chèvre, de l'Arnica, de l'Etançon, de Botte up to that of l'Oeillon, through heather and broom. This particular landscape is full of very cute places to picnic. Under the Crêt de l'Oeillon antenna, again an orientation table, with breathtaking views of the Rhône valley, from Vienne to Sablons. The trail then descends on a ridge line, a final big climb awaits walkers, before plunging back into the forest to the Collet de Doizieux (refreshments possible at the inn of the same name). After this fairly steep descent, the path winds quietly over the last 5 km which return to Doizieux.
