First of all: forget the information from Komoot. If pure walking time was 2 hours and an average of 6 km / h, Wonderwoman calls me. But I'm not. I was traveling slowly. A total of 5:45 hours. If you subtract perhaps 1 hour of breaks and photo stops, then it works better. I guess my cell phone couldn't take the altitude and calculated steep places as standing time. To the way: OMG! Simply fantastic. I imagined the way to be easier and in between I thought my kneecap was about to pop out, but it was so worth it. Such a panorama and pure adventure. The most beautiful hike I've done so far. I could write so much now, but first I have to digest these great impressions myself. But: if you're around, do it. Absolutely. 😁😍
If you are interested: We walked the western and longer part of the way in 2019: https://www.komoot.de/tour/105841460?ref=wtd We started early for our standards, so we sat on the terrace of the Stöcklalm at the middle station around 10.30 a.m. and ordered a cappuccino with a piece of cake. Here they wanted to look at our vaccination records for the first and last time in our vacation week. One hour later we started the first steep ascent to the Asitz summit and made good progress after some initial delays. The view was amazing again, but we were happy when the forest started at some point and on the one hand we had some shade and on the other hand we could concentrate fully on the path. We then reached the Berggasthof Biberg right on schedule. After the last descent to the mountain station of the summer toboggan run, we went back to the valley in the bright afternoon sun.
