The tour of the mountain huts of the Asiago plateau is another classic on the Via delle Prealpi: this MTB tour, on dirt roads and wide paths, takes you to discover the mountain huts and mountain pastures that distinguish the southern territory of the Asiago plateau Asiago. An opportunity to experience an uncontaminated landscape and taste the typical mountain products and Asiago DOP cheese.

The itinerary has a circular development and takes you on a journey through history crossing the battlefields where many young people sacrificed their lives for freedom during the First World War. It is a border territory, isolated and historically linked to the Cimbrian culture, which still distinguishes the local toponyms today. As characteristic as it is fascinating to explore on the MTB, in a succession of green pastures, thick woods and boundless views of the Venetian plain, the Tour starts from Bocchetta Granezza and the Monte Corno refuge, where you can leave your car.

In about 30 kilometres, with a height difference of just over 600 metres, you cycle on military roads with partially uneven but pedalable surfaces, passing in order Bocchetta Pau, Malga Serona, Malga Foraoro and Malga Carriola, and then passing through the area of the former English garrison with statue to the Unknown Soldier, the Boscon cemetery and bivouac.

Passing between Cimbrian houses, Asiago where you can see the Military Shrine that dominates the whole city from the top of the Leiten hill, and country roads with crazy views of the plateau, you reach Monte Corno and the starting point, with a heart full of splendid memories of this circular tour.
