A wonderful, forested track through Thornton Dale on the eastern side of Thornton Beck. Mostly flat, with beautiful green (or yellow and orange in the autumn) all the way through. …

Straight and straightforward forest roads and tracks here - crossing a number of riggs (ridges) such as Housedale Rigg and Sutherbruff Rigg. Easy and pleasant cycling.

Trail Reviews

Erin - The Walking Mum
September 25, 2023, Dalby Forest E-Xplorer Green Route

This new green route at Dalby Forest is a welcome addition for those looking for an easy family friendly ride with a bit more distance, or for those new to biking. Suitable for bike trailers, the route follows winding forestry tracks all the way, with plenty of spots along the way for a snack stop. It also takes in the pump tracks and berms at the Adventure Hub, if you need a bit more of a thrill half way around. Be sure to stop at Dalby Cycle Hub, which has bikes and trailers available for hire if you don’t have your own, as well as the newly opened courtyard cafe for a well earned cuppa and cake.
