My first challenging hike. Climbing up to 900 meters and then descending made me realize that trekking poles are useful for all ages. :) At the end of the hike, since it was a warm September day, I went to the beach in Vercurago.
Beautiful panoramic loop in the places of The Betrothed. Up to the castle it is a beautiful mule track, then a well-maintained and marked path. Never difficult or exposed but the part immediately before Monte Gavazzo is rather steep. The loop is suitable if you have half a day and is interesting on a historical and panoramic level. Perfect for winter and mid-seasons.
