Pirinexus Stage 6: From Platja D'Aro to Llagostera Last day: the sun rises!! A real shame not to have been able to enjoy this magnificent route with the sun, the rain has been present almost every day. I start the day from the Bell Repos hotel, in Platja D'Aro. Walk through the shopping center to return to the coastal walk towards Sant Feliú de Guixols, upon reaching the mouth of the "Ridaura" river, the "Carrilet" or Vía Verde begins towards Girona. A walk through forests, villages, old reconditioned Carrilet stations, infrastructures in perfect condition for cycle tourism. 20 km later arrival in Llagostera and end of this magnificent complete "Pirinexus" lap. I insist: Pirinexus is a HIGHLY recommended cycling route. It has hard sections from Olot to Coll d'Ares, and from Coll de Pasnisars to Capmany; very smooth stretches of greenways and "carrilets" It crosses unmissable areas of the Empordà, spectacular towns full of hospitable people. The typical Catalan and French gastronomy. Highly recommended in bikepacking mode from Olot to Prats de Molló. Good offer of campsites, hostels, rural tourism. A route to do in 5 days, and enjoying.
