Exploring Mount Maddalena and the nearby hills - gravel loop

Welcome to this adventurous tour that starts and arrives at the Brescia Train Station, located right behind the city center. From here, head north across the city to the Castle, a sight you can't miss.

Cycle along an ancient Romanesque road and head towards Mount Maddalena. This is the real challenge of the day: ten kilometers of asphalt that winds torturously but with a delicate gradient, on average 6 percent.

Then face the steep descent, long, paved and steep. Be careful, it faces north and is often wet and slippery, as well as having quite a few potholes. This side is less frequented by cars, so maintenance is less.

Almost at the end of the "Muratello", the road that connects the homonymous hamlet of Nave to the top of Mount Maddalena, enters a path immersed in a suggestive undergrowth. This is the most technical section of the day, so, if necessary, I advise you to get off the bike in the most difficult passages.
After a transfer on secondary roads and cycle paths, face the second climb of the day, a few steep kilometers that take you to the sanctuary of the Madonna della Stella, from which you can enjoy a breathtaking panoramic view.
