Running

Departing from Sault, this route explores these lands with unique color contrasts. This route is an opportunity to do a half-marathon in the heart of nature, with a touch of ups and downs as well!

The route presents some small difficulties such as the descent before Saint-Jean, which is quite technical, for the rest the route follows accessible trails and paths.
The trail begins in the middle of the lavender fields before climbing to the heights. The detour to the Saint-Jean belvedere is highly recommended! From here you can admire the breathtaking view of the valley and Mont Ventoux.

After the Durefort fountain, a gradual climb awaits you before the famous technical descent which reaches Saint-Jean. You then regain height by following the Croc valley ravine to reach the natural belvedere of La Peine. The end of the route crosses the Bois des Fayettes before reaching Sault.

Sault

Highlight • Settlement

Located at an altitude of 800 meters, Sault is known for its lavender fields, and for being one of the three starting villages for the ascent of Mont Ventoux, the other two being Bédoin and Malaucène. The climb through Sault is easier compared to the other two villages, because this town is located higher up.
