This route was planned by komoot.
The little sister of Lake Varese is Lake Comabbio. Most of the tour runs on bike paths. However, this is interrupted at San Sepolcro (there is a walkable wooden walkway) and you have to accept a small detour. Ratio of shade to sun estimated at 50:50. The path around Lake Varese is more shady. Good to know, the two lakes are connected by a cycle path - see map
A tour suitable for everyone, although in some places it takes a bit of legwork for very short climbs. Fairly shaded in general, with two children's parks also in the shade and a couple of bars along the route. Nice to spend half a day in the open air!
