Another great tour. The 360-degree view from the summit of the Grosser Belchen is unparalleled. Miles of visibility stretches from the valleys below to the horizon. The hike around Lac de Ballon was very varied. It went up and down, sometimes over an alpine pasture, then through a beautiful deciduous forest, and time and again the forest opened up to reveal a panoramic view all the way to the Black Forest. 👍🏼
At the top of the Grand Ballon you have a great view. The path to the lake is easy to walk, a path with gravel and stones and a pleasant gradient. It is worth taking another break at the lake. There is also a picnic bench here. The rest of the path is nice, but now offers a rather average backdrop and no special views. The climb back is extremely steep at times, but on a forest path that is easy to walk. Entertaining tour. Today, thanks to the cloud cover above 1200m, the weather is perfect for a golden autumn day with sun and no wind!
A wonderful tour with many great views. Easy to walk, not too steep, but sturdy shoes are essential.

A wonderful circular hike even in mixed weather. Great views from the highest mountain in Alsace, beautiful paths through blueberry fields. Just avoid the Ferme du Gustiberg. The food looks good in the photo, but tasted awful.
