Superb trip in the gorge. Beautiful colors and challenging climbs. Started very early in the morning. Through the gorge we walked for a large part in the shade. But on the way back we had full sun and 40 degrees in the shade. A bit much of a good thing! Two participants did not reach the final goal.
Parking at the usual spot for the Rambla Salada, we started anti clockwise until we met signpost " Rambla Las Ventanas PR CV180 and followed this trail. Very well signposted for 2.4km till the Crest. From here onwards, you 're on your own! No signs or cairns to guide you. Path at times very unclear until you meet the road coming from the quarry. Follow road to the right for approx 2km then turn to left after pumphouse into the Barranca and then the FUN starts. Lots of staples and cables to negotiate down on this vía ferrata all the way to the Black Rock. We returned to the car via the Acequías. Today, still plenty of water to make the descents along the waterfalls tricky.
