Today a circular excursion between Olevano sul Tusciano and Acerno together with Angelo and Renato. We set off near the San Michele di Olevano Park and walked along the CAI 110 path that runs along the Tusciano river and leads up to Acerno. After 5.5 km we left the CAI 110, to begin the return from the other side of the river along unmarked paths. Of the total about 12 km I would say that only a couple involved some difficulties with a rather steep descent along a stony ground of about 1 km and a stretch with thick vegetation with thorns that forced us to detours and to break through the brambles with the use of shears that we always carry with us during excursions. Several times during the walk we had to overcome barriers with barbed wire (opening and closing them or passing under) used for the control of grazing cattle. We have met many. The Picentini mountains are beautiful, the Tusciano is beautiful and clean. We met trout fishermen who caught one while we were crossing one of the bridges and immediately released it. A beautiful excursion ended on schedule although the unexpected.
