This route was planned by komoot.
Beautiful tour from the Flecknerhütte over the Fleckner, with a stop at the Wiedleralm (very nice restaurant and food), back to the Flecknerhütte
At the Römerkehre car park on the Jaufenpass, we started at an altitude of 2000m. Small paths lead over pasture and scree fields up to the first summit cross of the 2331m high Fleckner. The weather stayed dry, but there was already a pretty little wind whistling! After making an entry in the summit book, we continued west towards the Glaitner Hochjoch. I enjoyed the magnificent views of the Passer Valley with St. Leonhard and St. Martin in the distance. Around noon I heard a gun salute from the valley all the way up to the summit. Corpus Christi was celebrated here on Sunday, with the associated processions. Probably an old ritual... On the Glaitner Hochjoch at 2389m, the highest point of the tour, I then continued in the direction of the Kleine Kreuzspitze. The mountain lakes below give the otherwise barren landscape a break. A loop around the lakes then led me back on the same path over the Gleitner Hochjoch in the direction of Flecknerhütte. There was a delicious Kaiserschmarrn with yeast. Despite quite a lot of altitude, such a tour is always a pleasure for me! 👌🏻🤩
Park directly at the Fleckneralm in the morning. Then go to the Fleckner summit and follow the path for as long as you like. The paths are mostly easy to walk. The views are unique
Absolute must: take different routes for the way there and back. Over the more northerly one over the Fleckner ... Fits the view to the north and the gradients are more pleasant
Today's hike took us to the Jaufpass: Fasnachter, Fleckner and Glaitner Hochjoch, all 3 peaks were on the program, all well over 2000m and connected to each other in ups and downs. The hiking area around the Jaufenpass is generally rather steep and in places steeply sloping, no comparison to the hike on the Penser Joch. Not the hiking trails themselves, but the sloping terrain hundreds of meters down is a challenge for those with a fear of heights, Fleckner and Fasnachter are not an issue in this regard, but the last meters from the Glaitner Joch to the Hochjoch are not easy from the point of view of a person with a fear of heights . Nevertheless, we had great views in great weather and the flock of mice and bears still got their money's worth 🤣
