This route was planned by komoot.
Today we're heading a little higher. Through the Passeier Valley, always heading towards the Timmelsjoch Pass, then turning left to the Seeberalm parking lot. The Seeberalm is currently completely closed for renovations, but the Oberglaneggalm is a good alternative for trying some delicious Kaiserschmarrn, shepherd's noodles, or apple strudel. 🤤 I must have accidentally ended the recording a little too early 🤷♂️
Today we continued our journey towards the Dolomites. We debated for a long time whether to take the Brenner Pass or the Reschen Pass – ultimately, we decided on the Timmelsjoch Pass. (A few photos at the end are from the top of the pass.) Martina quickly found a beautiful hike along the way, which turned out to be a real highlight. Great trail and beautiful scenery. Fortunately, the weather cooperated. However, as soon as we got back to the car, the heavens opened – it started to rain heavily. As we continued on, hail even fell, which didn't exactly make the journey any more pleasant...
Today we drove up to the Timmelsjoch. The pass road itself is an experience, you need strong nerves🙈 At around 2000 m we then hiked to the Seebersee, where I also went for a quick swim (it was definitely not more than 10 degrees 🥶) Another beautiful tour with great views of the surrounding mountains
Perfect for dogs as there is a lot of water. Beautiful view.
Nice tour on an alpine path (sticks can be helpful!) - the entrance is at the beginning of the parking lot, just follow the red and white markings. I was initially misguided and then had to take the cross-country shortcut. In my opinion, this round is also the better choice in terms of views, path conditions and the opportunity to stop for refreshments (towards the end!) - rather than the other way around. SeeberAlm has delicious food, but the last day was open yesterday (October 18th)!
A beautiful valley with many streams, glacier views and delicious alpine pastures to stop at.
This morning we left 'Moos in Passeier' by bus and drove comfortably to the 'Oberglanegg hairpin bend'. From there we quickly reached a circular hiking trail below the 'Timmelsjoch'. We expected 5 degrees and rain. This weather should accompany us for almost the entire tour (rather unusual). So be sure to pack warm clothing in your hiking backpack. Nevertheless, we enjoyed the impressive 'Seeber Valley', in which the idyllic 'Seebersee' is located. The mountain lake is not for swimming, but you can still linger a little comfortably here. You then reach the 'Oberglanegg Alm'. These offer a fantastic view of the 'Ötztal Alps'. Here we were able to warm up with a good meal. I would describe the hike in general as 'easy'. Only the last section, after the 'Seebersee', from the 'Oberglanegg Alm' is a bit steep for a short time. Tip: On the alpine meadows, but also on the hiking trails, you will encounter some grazing cows. They're pretty to look at, but don't stare too long, it might be taken as a challenge by the cow or ox.
