It’s not exactly a shack, it’s rather a singular case. Years ago it was restored or reinforced with cement or modern materials.
It dates back more than 1000 years, so it could be Arabic. Due to heavy rains in October 1994, she was half-buried.

Rocabruna (539 m)

Highlight • Summit

Very cool route, but the road is very dirty. There is still work to be done to clear the undergrowth. Lots of branches and plants along the road, quite uncomfortable. But the route is very beautiful.

Hermitage of Sant Antoni (runes)

Highlight • Historical Site

Rough walls are still preserved; the one to the north is whole enough. It is located to the west of the village, a ten minute walk. It is documented in the minutes book of the Council (1671) when it is agreed to order a bell for the hermitage, or (June 13, 1687) when they agree “that a profaso of prayers be made to Saint Anthony for the plague of the locust and what he preached and that all those who will attend this procession will walk barefoot ”.

Later, and in the book of parish visits, it is ordered that things be put there (1732) and it is stated that they do not allow Mass to be said (1738). But it had to be remedied because on June 13, 1817, "the hermitage of St. Anthony was reconciled, desecrated by French enemy troops and ours in the last war…" (refers to the French war , 1808-1814). However, this normalcy did not last long, because the vicissitudes of the 19th century, the Carlist wars, must have affected it again. In this sense, the Madoz Dictionary, published in 1850, refers to it as "… and a chapel that was also outside the town dedicated to San Antonio, has been destroyed during the calamities of the civil war." A pastoral visit in 1853 only mentions the hermitage of Sant Blai and, in another in 1870, it is said: "the hermitage of San Antonio has not existed for many years in this part".

At the end of the 19th century, a village chaplain, recovering from an illness, proposed to recover and asked the villagers for help. Mr. Lluís Barberà Xatruch, from Mas de Borbó, agreed to collaborate and had wood cut on an old Advent moon, but the initiative was not consolidated and only about twenty years ago the wood was given a new one. purpose. So many years have passed since the hermitage was demolished, which may still be resisted because it has been less than a few years since the trunk kept the possibility of rehabilitation alive.
