This route was planned by komoot.
The first section of the walk is in the forest then you head up on to the top. You can get a great view across the hills and to Morcambe Bay and see a lovely sunset. I love doing different versions of walks and seeing the area from different persoectives
A great walk to avoid the crowds in other areas of the Lake District . Great 360 degree views . No facilities on the route but we called at the Derby Arms in Witherslack after the walk . The limestone scar is the perfect environment for wild flowers including of orchids
