This beautiful walk that I am offering you offers landscapes that are as splendid as ever. But here it takes on historical colors.
The Vercors was a hotbed of resistance during the Second World War. Along its trails, you discover the national necropolis of Pas de l'Aiguille (the smallest in France). The cave where the resistance took refuge during the attack of July 22, 1944 is located near the monument. The Haut Vercors indeed served as a natural bastion and place of refuge for many freedom fighters.
Between the Pas de l'Essaure and the Pas de l'Aiguille, you have the possibility of climbing another summit: the Tête Chevalière which rises to 1,951 meters above sea level.
On your return to Chichilianne, you will find hotels, lodges and a bakery for those snacks.
