This route was planned by komoot.
Do you drive or don't you drive? The question arises when the weather is rather cloudy and rain is forecast for the early evening. In the end you drive. It was a beautiful tour from Pfronten-Röflleuten through a magnificent landscape along the Vils into the Tannheimer Valley, which I would like to do again in hopefully different weather conditions.
This time, it was a shorter tour, as rain and thunderstorms were expected to start around midday. Like yesterday, it all came much earlier than forecast, but except for the fortunately predominantly forested Ach Valley, we successfully navigated the showers. From Tannheim, we followed the Vils River to Pfronten, then returned through the Ach Valley/Enge Valley. A very beautiful route, largely car-free, but with a large portion of unpaved roads.
