Fantastic viewpoint on a good day - save yourself the trouble if you are going up when everything is in a clag. The way up is very steep and up …

Trail Reviews

DULMI
July 27, 2025, Sgurr Mhairi/Glamaig von Sligachan Schleife - Isle of Skye

All in all, a cool tour, but... It started off more or less harmlessly: Through swampy terrain past the summit and then slowly up a ridge. Then the "summit assault" at a snail's pace over slippery scree and countless meters of elevation... Good thing we had our poles. The view at the top was initially zero – until the clouds briefly cleared. Then a magnificent view! The descent was a bit too adventurous: more or less directly down the steep slope. And even attempting to zigzag was borderline risky! Even with poles! Our pants and bent poles can tell you about it... At some point, we were back down again, back through swampy terrain. The gradient of up to 60% on the ground – definitely not "moderately difficult," as komoot labels it!
