This route was planned by komoot.
The tour was actually planned differently. Unfortunately, shortly after the descent at about 1300 m, we witnessed a hiking accident. We had a broken ankle (broken or ligamentous). After a difficult combination with 112, the mountain rescue team arrived in less than half an hour. That was fantastic. They did their job brilliantly and were super nice, too. We think it's fantastic that there are people like that who provide such services in their free time. The woman had to be carried for over 2 km on very narrow and steep paths. Simply fantastic. To top it all off, we got caught in a thunderstorm. This hike was anything but normal. The ascent was over 700 m over approximately 3.6 km.
This one is only for the sure-footed! We chose this hike bc we wanted to have a view of the lake. The hike around the Lake seemed to be a lot on the road. This hike had a maib view of the lake only from the top. It was strenuous and continuously steep. We saw a pair of fire salamanders on our way down which was super exciting!
Demanding tour, sure-footedness absolutely necessary.
This tour is inspired by https://out.ac/GBYrM. Please make sure to read the description and warnings. The return path is quite steep and more difficult then the way up. Bring hiking poles and wear good hiking boots.
