This route was planned by komoot.
The Spigorel lake (small and today also dry) is certainly not one of the most beautiful in the Orobie, but it is in a context that I find fantastic. Three quarters of the path, or perhaps more, is in the woods, so a hike recommended on hot days like today. Although little known and popular, the Sedornia valley is worth a visit. This year is the second time for me, after having been there in winter. There are no adjectives as much as I liked it, with the fresh snow and the path traced only by a few wild animals ...
I forgot to activate Komot upon departure🙈
Val Sedornia is, in my opinion, one of the most beautiful and wild valleys of our Orobie. For this reason it is an excursion that I do several times a year and in different seasons. The idea was to do a circular tour, perhaps passing through the Mirtillo di Lizzola refuge, but on paper it was already a difficult undertaking to achieve. The high temperatures had already reduced the snow to mush in the early hours of the morning. Mount Vigna Vaga seemed like a unique waterfall due to the frequency of avalanches of all sizes. Having arrived at Lake Spigorel, continuing would have been a real risk. From the footsteps, I had confirmation that many hikers came within a few meters of the lake to give up on it. However, a wonderful excursion, on a very clear day and concluded after sunset. Anyone who knows me knows that I love waiting for dark to be able to spot many wild animals, which are abundant in this area. The deer in particular in this area now reigns supreme...
medium difficulty excursion. In reality they are 850 meters in altitude and 15 km in length!
