The Bartenwetzer B1 circular hiking trail starts at the Melsungen forest swimming pool and leads through the Melsungen city forest with its beautiful beech forest. On the way you pass 2 forest sofas with beautiful views (one at the beginning - one at the end), three huts with stamps, a forester's stone and some art along the way. A beautiful and varied route. Below the snake house 🐍 (formerly Hercules view) it is very muddy and slippery at the moment.
After a disappointing start to the day, I quickly did the B1 as a frustrating hike. However, Knoppi kept me on my toes, I think that there was a bitch on heat. When the weather is nice and the ground is frozen, a nice little hike over zu.eist easy walkable paths with a few distant views over Melsungen. If you are more interested in the Melsunger hiking trails, you are welcome to have a look here: "Bartenwetz Circular Hiking Trails" https://www.komoot.de/collection/1654073/-bartenwetzer-rundwanderwege Alternatively here: https://www.melsunger-land.de/natur/wandern/bartenwetzer-wanderwege
A beautiful autumn walk on a Sunday morning. The route is mainly on paved forest paths, easy to go. After the Schlangenhütte it was muddy and slippery, very slippery, a real mess. There is nothing to see in terms of scenery, just the occasional glimpse of Melsungen - beautiful is something else entirely. There are a few Ars Natura figures to see. And then there are the little houses and scenes. I don't understand the point of it, but it was amusing.
A short walk in the wintry Melsunger city forest with wonderful snow. It went via the Martin-Greiling-Hütte (stamping point), the Snake House (stamping point) and the Otto-Dannenberg-Hütte (stamping point) on beautiful - partly pathy - paths. In between there were a few works of art to discover along the way. A pleasure in this weather❄️!
