December 29, 2021,My Favourite Hike: Ben A'an
I’ve been lucky enough to walk on some of the world’s most beautiful trails, so it’s hard to pick a true favourite hike, but Ben A’an is certainly one that is very dear to my heart.

Ben A’an is often referred to as “the mountain in miniature” and indeed, it’s not very high at only 1,512ft in elevation. But the …
It's a very steep hike with very high stone steps. My knees couldn't handle it at all!

Due to the weather improving, I ran up to the summit a second time (I was already on my descent when it stopped raining). Please do not be alarmed.

When staying in Aberfoyle, and bringing the hiking shoes, you almost have to go up to Ben A'an. We did this hike on a sunny, Sunday afternoon, so there were more visitors. Although it wasn't that crowded, the information at different website would say.
The altimeters were not measured properly via Garmin watch for an unknown reason. Ascent is approximately 320 meters and descent is also 320 meters.

Short but crisp. At the top there is a 'double hole view' of Loch Katrine and Loch Achrayne. Buy a parking ticket beforehand with 5₤ (EC/Visa/Cash),
Predicate: worthwhile👍👍
