From Tarrone this route starts with a steep climb, one would say a runner in the peloton. So best to do, especially since there is no traffic on this road. Then the descent to the Lago di Piediluco begins. The path next to the Velino is flat, but to Terni it goes downhill again. Along the main track. We also drive to the waterfall on a busy road. The waterfall is beautiful, and nice and cool in the hot weather. Then it's back on the busy road until we can take a strada bianca and return to Tarrone along the back. The busy roads that one has to cross spoil this tour a bit.
