This varied circular hike takes you through the most beautiful corners of Emsdetten, combining the enjoyment of nature with the proximity to the town.
You start at the Emsdetten hiking station and soon reach the Emsauen, an idyllic nature reserve with numerous information points, relaxing riverbanks, and picturesque paths along the Ems River. The route continues to the Finnish track, where you can enjoy a particularly relaxing run on the soft surface.
Passing Meinerts Brook, the tour leads through the water protection area at Grevener Damm before you reach Emsdetten's town park – perfect for a short break and to give your feet some fresh air on the barefoot path.
Afterwards, you follow the Mühlenbachweg, which leads you along the babbling brook to the Kulturhof Deitmar and into the town center, where a stop for refreshments is highly recommended. ATTENTION: There are currently detours on Albert-Haverkamp-Weg! Finally, the loop ends back at the hiking station.
