The Laarder Wasmeer, where sheep were once washed. In the past larger than it is now and created by a non-water-permeable subsoil. In the previous century it became polluted by sewage water from the higher situated Hilversum. At the beginning of this century it was 'remediated'. Beautiful walk where you can still find plenty of old cart tracks and peddler paths.
