This route was planned by komoot.
Today, for a change, it's uphill. The aero bike isn't quite optimal here, although I'm slowly getting used to the gear ratio. Gorgeous views, secluded roads, and perfect cycling weather. Komoot gives incorrect elevation gains for almost every tour. But I don't want to complain about the 1700 instead of the 2300. It just makes planning a bit more difficult. Certainly not my last cycling holiday here.
After we had already driven down the 14 small, well-known bends in Biassa, we planned this tour up, what else 🙂 Via the Clique Terre to Levanto. Decent climb to Volastra. Down to Levanto and between 8% and 12% back. Then into the hinterland. Above there is still something to stop (hikers and MTB). The road was then closed, but a cyclist told us we could continue. Asphalt a few km not so good, especially on the descent you have to be careful, but I've had worse ones. At the end of the winding road above la Spezia back to the accommodation. Roads, except for the section mentioned, great and little traffic (May!)
Wow, that used to be a tour. Much less traffic than feared. Sometimes on the small streets all alone. If I'm honest, at least as beautiful as the Tramuntana tours in Mallorca. And - really crisp ramps - not pushed a meter 😇 Flat straight ahead does not know the tour 🤣🤣🤣
