Our second tour in the Vosges started today at the Pierre-Percée lake. The first 5 kilometers along the lake were without any significant elevation gain. That was quite pleasant after the heavy climbs yesterday 😉. But then we went up to the Roches de la Xaveure. Here we could see some impressive rocks: an elephant head 🐘, a table and a stool. And all with lots of pebble inclusions, a completely different structure than in the Palatinate Forest, for example. The last climb went to the castle 🏰 of Pierre-Percée. However, it is currently closed due to renovation work. Back at the lake, we had a longer cooling down for our feet 👣. That was a relief in the heat and a nice way to end the day in this quiet place ⛱️.
