Probably a classic in the Dolomites - the Sassolungo tour.
Even though the cable car looks very interesting and the ride should be an experience, I decided to walk to the gap. This definitely gives you more time to enjoy the views - especially if it snowed a bit the night before and the mountains are lightly powdered 🏔️

A unique experience to go around the Langkofel so close with lots of rocks that we did without the cable car. You had to be free from vertigo and sturdy shoes and poles are recommended. It was very nice to dream again with a view of the mountains.

A day between rock and clouds: Circumnavigating the Sassolungo is no ordinary hike – it requires alpine experience, concentration, and respect for the terrain. Partially exposed sections, cool temperatures (only 7°C at the top), and at times poor visibility made the tour challenging, but also impressive.
