Hiking and sniffing history at the same time: On this circular tour from Nauders via the Kaiserschützenweg and Nauders Fortress, you will learn interesting facts about the past of this region. And by the way enjoy a magnificent nature.

Starting from Nauders, follow the path to Nauders Fortress at 1,186 meters. The military museum is an absolute highlight above all, but not only for history fans. The entrance to the Kaiserschützenweg is also located here.

Over 500 airy meters of altitude, first stairs, then an insured climb, you follow the historic path. After about two and a half kilometers you will reach the accessible rock caverns on the Selleskopf, which you can even walk on. Numerous signs tell you more about the history of this path along the way.

You then slowly begin the descent: over the Zettler Alm, in the direction of Schöpfwarte and Norbertshöhe, until you eventually arrive back in Nauders - accompanied by wonderful views of Altfinstermünz, the Hoher Turm, Bergkastel and the Engadin.

The hike via the entrance to Nauders Fortress should only be undertaken by experienced hikers with good shoes and a head for heights. The path is sometimes only 30-40 cm wide, it goes down vertically without safety! But it's a great tour!
