MTB Enduro loop 'Eb3'

Mountain biking

At first glance, the general course of this tour is similar to the "EB2 Eberbach" circuit: three loops - three hills. But it's worth taking a closer look. While the EB2 mainly runs along easy forest paths, the EB3 enduro circuit is fundamentally different: this tour takes in pretty much every trail in the Eberbach bike region that isn't in the trees!

The result is a tour that is both physically and technically demanding. But it rewards you with maximum fun! Thanks to the three loops, you have the option of shortening the circuit. If you run out of energy, that's a good option. But also if you like a trail so much that you want to ride it a few more times, then just do that and take the fastest route back later!

Are you really fit on your mountain bike and are challenging enduro trails exactly your thing? Then you absolutely have to have ridden this great tour around Eberbach in the Odenwald!

Captain Hiob Trail

Blue trail, one of the easiest in “Bikeländ” - but this one also requires a certain riding technique, typical for here!

Lumberjack Trail (From Waldquelle)

Highlight (Segment) • Trail

In honor of a forest worker who died in an accident years ago, the Lumberjack is the signature trail in Bikeländ with the most vertical meters. The view from the Itterberg is magnificent, the trail is rocky and blocked at the top, steep and then opens up as the only shared trail to the forest spring. In the last section it becomes more challenging again.

Wally Trail

Highlight (Segment) • MTB Park

Short but beautiful introduction to the Bikeländ trails from the Breitenstein meadows, along the dry stone walls, hence its name. Steeper passages at the beginning, then more open terrain with off-cambers, small berms, roots and a flowing ride at the end.

Woody Trail

Highlight (Segment) • MTB Park

The Woody Trail starts on the Scheuerberg main path and takes you down a 600-meter-long descent into the Holdergrund forest. At the beginning, you can still roll along relaxed. But in the second part of the Woody, things really get going. Here, you can expect tight rollercoaster curves and deep depressions that are technically demanding and will challenge your skills. The trail is marked in red. Typically for Eberbach bike country, this means that a safe riding technique doesn't hurt to really have fun.

With 110 meters of descent in a short stretch, the Woody offers plenty of action and variety. If you want to extend the descent, you can easily combine it with the Wally Trail.

Two-Armed Bandit Trail

Highlight (Segment) • MTB Park

It's awesome what the trail builders from Bikeländ have dug into the forest here! Beautiful steep sections, hairpin bends and rocks integrated into the trail. Only for advanced amateur racers!

Alle Farben Trail

It's quite flowy in places down to Eberbach. But it shouldn't be underestimated. There are always places with S3.

Bock & Soul Trail

Highlight (Segment) • MTB Park

The Bock & Soul Trail in Eberbach is definitely the easier option compared to its harder brother, the Block & Roll. But don't be fooled - "easy" doesn't mean "easy" here! The trail is well-blocked and offers you some technical sections that will put your riding skills to the test. If you have a bit of practice in moving your rear wheel precisely and taking tight corners cleanly, then the Bock & Soul is really fun.

A word of caution: I have also fallen here before because a newly grown tree was sticking directly into the trail. My arm got caught when I took a line that was previously clear. Luckily nothing happened, but that shows that the trail is constantly changing. So: Before you really throw yourself into the adventure, take a look at the route carefully. A quick check will help you avoid nasty surprises.

Coffee & Cream Trail

Highlight (Segment) • Trail

One of the trails with the greatest fun factor. It winds its way down through many dips and curves, never too steeply. The ascent is garnished with a great view of the Neckar Valley. As an extension of the Hebert Trail, which runs further up, it is one of the longest single trails in the Odenwald at almost 2.5 kilometers long.

Hebert Trail

Highlight (Segment) • MTB Park

The longest trail in Bikeländ Eberbach starts at the highest point of the mountain of the same name and offers you everything that makes a mountain biker's heart beat faster over 1.5 kilometers. As soon as you start, you notice that this trail is a challenge. At the top, a rocky, technically demanding route awaits you, which demands your full concentration.

The further down you go, the more playful the trail becomes. The curves become tighter, the dips deeper, and there are always short pedaling sections that make your legs burn. So this is not just about the descent - you also have to pedal hard in between. The open curves ensure a lot of flow and are really fun, especially in the faster sections.

With its 150 meters of descent, the trail is rather flat, but the varied route makes it a lot of fun!

Neckarcoaster Trail

Highlight (Segment) • MTB Park

The Neckarcoaster Trail in Eberbach is a real must if you are looking for action on two wheels. It is one of the twelve trails in Bikeland Eberbach and ensures plenty of speed and adrenaline. At 700 meters long and 130 meters deep, it is not the longest trail, but definitely one of the most exciting. Especially if you love jumps.

The numerous "shoots" ensure that you keep taking off. It's less about pure technique and more about the right flow. Just don't let the beautiful landscape of the Odenwald distract you - the jumps require some experience and concentration. So if you're not sure how to land cleanly, you might want to switch to a less challenging trail.

For everyone else: get on your bike and enjoy the descent! The trail is really fun and the best thing is: you can pedal back up to the start yourself on quiet forest paths and rock it again straight away!

Hardcore... there's no other way to describe it.

The trails in Eberbach are not for the faint of heart. Extremely rocky, often very steep, with little flow and lots of bumps.

Only those who are relatively fearless and feel completely comfortable on their bike should come here.

The tour is very demanding with many red and black trails and it is best to set off very early in the morning because the tour has a lot of elevation gain and feels very long.

Saw @Mario 🌲👻 🚵 🇩🇪 yesterday - followed today with 12-year-old Junior - until we couldn't anymore. For me the trails in Eberbach are …
