Today you walk more than 18 kilometers through a very unique piece of nature, because the heathland in Dwingelderveld National Park is the wettest high moorland in Europe! Along the way you walk through quiet areas of forest, where the trees make way for fens and lakes here and there.

This route was planned by komoot.
Beautiful walk, I copied it from a komoot user, sorry I don't remember who. Very varied area, really beautiful. Adders have just come out of hibernation, 2 were spotted, the 1st one was brought to my attention by the man from nature monuments, thank you, and 50 meters further I spotted a 2nd one, very beautiful. The weather was also nice, we saw the sun now and then, but above all no wind, which was nice on the southern part of the walk. The northern part is mainly forest, the southern part mainly fens, swamp, grass, so to speak, full of water and panoramic views.
It is and remains a beautiful walking area on both paved paths and unpaved (narrow and wide) paths. Recommended.
