Looking for the bee-eater, which Vroege Vogels had such a wonderful report on two weeks ago...and found it! A beautiful copper-yellow bird. And a stunning nature reserve! Only Komoot doesn't always do what it's supposed to...
I've wanted to do this for ages. I've also done the other Oranjezon routes. There were some Parnassias, but not many (anymore). There were only one spot over 100 meters, but nowhere else. Part 2 of this route is almost entirely in loose sand. There's also a lot to see: common buckthorn, water mint, yellow bedstraw, and soapwort. And of course, the typical dune plants: sea buckthorn and dune ragwort. In short, a beautiful route indeed!
In the autumn holiday I walked the fallow deer route and today the Parnassia route. Oranjezon is a special and beautiful area. I don't have much nature and walking experience yet, but Oranjezon is one of my most beautiful nature experiences so far.
