One highlight follows the other on the "Wasserfallsteig" premium trail. We went up the Uracher waterfall, but the steps are still pretty much in the water. We continued to the Rutschenfelsen and an EKS in the Rohrauer Hütte. Then we stopped by the 🐎 at the Fohlenhof, then we went back down to the Gütersteiner waterfall. We went back to the car park at the train station via the Kirschenweg. Nice tour, just a lot of people today.
"Escape civilization" was our motto here in the Swabian Alb on Tuesday and Wednesday. Our cell phones stayed off for two days, and only Komoot was allowed to join us. Our hike started on Tuesday from the "Maisenstüble" parking lot in Bad Urach. Our first destination was the Güterstein Waterfall – a place like something out of a fairytale. Water trickles everywhere, everything is so green, the pool stores the clear water, and there are a few benches where you can simply breathe and enjoy it. Above is a small chapel. From here, we continued to the Rutschenfelsen (sliding rock) with an incredible view! Along the edge of the slope, you reach the next viewpoint with a view of the Rutschenfelsen (sliding rock). We continued through the beautiful landscape to the Urach Waterfall. The area above with the waterfall hut is unfortunately very littered and divey, but the descent is truly beautiful! Moss-covered tuff stones dripping with water are everywhere on the slope – pure nature! On the way down, you get a different perspective of the waterfall every few meters. Everything is left to nature; in some places, water runs down the steps. The path to the parking lot leads along a beautiful stream. The path was one of the 5 Grafensteig trails. Very worthwhile! The elevation gain for our tour is incorrect—510 m is correct. Since we were here during the week, there were very few people at the highlights, and we were able to enjoy nature and unwind.
Insanely beautiful tour 🥰 In early summer, the two spectacular waterfalls carry more water than in autumn. Not that many people are out on Saturday mornings. There are many opportunities to stop off on the tour or afterwards in beautiful Bad Urach. Surefootedness is absolutely necessary.

My legs are heavy, my back still hurts a bit. It's time to cool down after yesterday's long day. I already knew the Urach Waterfall. But not in this combination. Another highly recommended circular hike. Everything here is simply amazing 😍. And when you start walking at 8 a.m., you're completely alone. My vacation is coming to an end. Tomorrow I'm heading home with a stopover at my mother's in the Black Forest. I'll be back. It was a fantastic week 😀🙋🏼♀️
Today the Uracher Wasserfallsteig was finally on the plan! Quite spontaneously and therefore all the more beautiful! Something was going on at the Urach waterfall, almost nothing at the Gütersteiner and in between we were almost alone. The paths were almost completely dry, except the stairs at the waterfall 🤣 waterproof shoes 👟 had to be there today! https://youtu.be/gP1JfC5m-MM
“Most beautiful hike in the Swabian Alb?” our friends from Memmingen wanted to know. Google spits out the waterfall trail near Bad Urach for you. Do we know him? And whether. Google is right. It is definitely one of the most beautiful gates on the Alb: the Urach waterfall, which pours violently over the stairs and makes the climb an adventure. The fantastic views from the slide rock. And then there is the idyllic Güterstein waterfall, which splashes along in a rather enchanted way... If you then do this amazing tour with dear, long-time friends, the day is perfect. Nearly. A little stroll through town with a stop rounded the whole thing off.
Maisental car park, chargeable. You can only print a full day ticket for 5€. You need the money in the form of coins or an EC card. Credits don't work. What a tour again today. After all the rain it was a great natural spectacle at the waterfalls. The hiking trail that goes up stairs at the waterfall was flooded from about 70m. Here's why hikers have gear. Anyway, my shoes were completely waterproof and I was actually the only one who continued up the trail. The sneaker fractions had to capitulate. From then on, the hiking trail was mine alone. The Rohrauer Hütte invites you to rest. There is self-service food and drinks. Outside it has more than enough places to sit. The Gütersteiner waterfall also had enough water to live up to its name. You always have a good view of the ruins "Hohenurach" but also the view of the castle "Hohenneuffen" Thanks to Claudia who inspired me for this great tour.

It was a very cold winter day when I set out to experience the sunrise on the Swabian Alb and I have to tell you it was amazing, Rutschenfels was my beginning and my end. So many impressions, everything up above covered in hoarfrost and spring in the valley below. However, my ascent of the Uracher waterfall
