Today I walked a clog path again. This time the Eendenkooienpad near IJsselstein of just over 17 km. This had been on my planned routes for a while. Depending on the time of year when you want to walk it, the route runs slightly differently at one point, because of the "goose season". I parked the car at the marina at TOP Marnemoende. There was more than enough space upon arrival. From here the route starts along the (narrow) towpath, where you have to pay close attention to where you put your feet; not only because of the uneven ground, but also because of the droppings of the many geese that camp here with their young. After the towpath the route continues through the countryside with wide views. Via IJsselstein back to the towpath along the Hollandse IJssel for the last part to the marina, where (partly due to the appearance of the sun) the terrace was now well filled and the parking lot almost full.
A nice sun, a very small shower, even a few hailstones and a strong wind. All in all, wonderfully windy weather. The path is not very varied, but beautifully situated and wonderfully quiet walking.
Beautiful trip along the water and meadows. Not very varied, but still fully enjoy the views, the cows and the Hollandse IJssel. In Montfoort made a trip to Brasserie Broer in the center.
