Hiking

Erve is not the usual alpine village halfway up the coast and its path is not the usual trekking that goes up along a river. This tour offers you the complete package: the charm of a picturesque village, the coolness of crystalline pools, the discovery of hidden paths and endless green meadows where you can relax in the sun. But above all: natural rock slides from which you can dive into the icy water.

The adventure begins in the heart of the village of Erve. Following the path that winds along the Galavesa stream, you will find yourself in front of the first pools, easily accessible and also suitable for families with boys and girls. If you continue along the main path, you will arrive at the Gnett locality. Here a large lawn well exposed to the sun and with a shelter almost always open in high season gives you the opportunity to take a relaxing break, sunbathe or continue your adventure towards the real pools, the deepest ones. In fact, the path continues in the woods and guides you up to the San Carlo spring, passing through the Bruco bridge. Here you'll find spectacular waterfalls, deep pools and secluded spots for the more adventurous.

But how do you get to Erve? By car, it is less than an hour from Milan. You can park in the village if you arrive early enough and if it's not Sunday. Otherwise you will have to leave your car in Calolziocorte and continue on foot. On Sundays, a shuttle service is provided which leaves from the station. For this tour it is essential to bring, in addition to trekking shoes, also beach shoes, a nice towel to dry off, spare clothes and plenty of sunscreen. You will find water and food on site, but there are also picnic tables along the way where you can take a break. Review your best dives: the pools of Erve are waiting for you!

Erve Historic Village and Stone Bridge

Highlight • Settlement

This tiny village, located in the homonymous valley, is crossed by the Gallavesa stream. The main feature of Erve is its historic center, dotted with bridges that connect the houses on the opposite banks of the stream. Erve is also an excellent starting point for excursions and trekking in the surrounding mountains, such as the Resegone, or the much-loved path of the puddles which starts right from this town.

So, can you take a nice dive with a nice jump, or do you just swim?
