Cassley (Achness) Falls and Rosehall Forest loop

Before you set off, you will find a community-built log cabin at the car park. This cabin serves as an information center and a picnic area, offering interpretative details about the surrounding area. As you explore, look for the impressive Achness Falls, which feature an upper 6-meter drop and a lower 12-meter drop, transforming into a torrent during high water. These falls are a temporary barrier for Atlantic salmon migrating upstream. The route also passes a historic chapel and an old graveyard, adding a touch of history to the natural beauty. Keep an eye out for sika deer, as they are sometimes spotted in the area.
