One of the most fun. Klompempaden. And with 67 predecessors that says something 😀
You should walk this very nice and beautiful route sometime
Hennie had to go to Wageningen on an errand and since our bikes are still in sleep mode, we drove to Wageningen by car and first walked the clog path there. Well, it was dry at first and it went well. But at some point we decided to take a faster path back to the car. It got very wet. Along the way there was a horse in distress. There were many people helping, but the fire brigade had to be involved. Hopefully it turned out well. We kept walking because all those snoopers are of no use to them. They just get in the way. After the walk we quickly did the shopping and went home for a nice hot shower.
Nice walk with unfortunately a lot of paved paths but definitely worth it. NB. The part to the Lower Rhine (and back) is not part of the official walk ;)
Walked the Wageningen Engpad together with Hennie. Through the woods, along the vegetable gardens, across the fields. A nice fresh walk with lots of sun. How lucky we are with the weather. And when you can still drink a glass of wine outside on the terrace on November 19, the day can no longer be broken 😂
Despite the gloomy weather, we still had a lovely walk. The Klompenpad (wooden clog path): Het Wageningse Engpad. We parked the car at the always beautiful Arboretum and started the walk from there. It was wonderful to walk in the woods. Later, in the countryside around Wageningen, a bit of a fresh breeze. But we can't complain, of course, because it's dry. We shortened the route a bit because we didn't enjoy the last stretch through the residential areas as much.
And another fantastically beautiful Klompenpad hike today. The Wageningse Engpad, what a fantastic route! We started with a cappuccino at the Fletcher Hotel De Wageningse Berg, and from there we walked through the Belmonte Arboretum, home to a vast array of trees and shrubs, and with beautiful views of the river landscape. The route also passed through a beautiful allotment complex with many pick-your-own gardens, through the De Dorschkamp forest, and past the Oranje Nassau Oord. It was another enjoyable walk.
Based on Komoot Route - Surprisingly walking around Wageningen. However, the GPS handheld decided to adjust halfway through the course (sometimes I still don't understand my handheld after years). A very beautiful route to walk. For some, the many asphalt on the route may be less interesting, but you walk along nice gardens, over beautiful forest paths and beautiful views. Not for people with hay fever ;) Original Komoot route: https://www.komoot.com/nl-nl/smarttour/e1153409477/verrassend-wandelen-rond-wageningen?ref=wdd
