Burbage Edge

Highlight • Natural

Burbage Edge is a rocky outcrop in the heart of the Peak District. It overlooks the Burbage district of Buxton in Derbyshire featuring a perfect shot of Higger Tor across the valley.

Burbage South Edge

Highlight (Segment) • Viewpoint

Burbage South is a large gritstone edge with awesome views, an amazing trail along the base and a more technical trail, along the top. It's not that disconnected from Burbage North further up the valley and forms a continuation of the outcrop which the Nine Edges Challenge Walk follows.
You can walk nice loops from Longshaw or the Cross Foxes Inn to the south or from Burbage Bridge in the north. The valley is wonderful with great views of Burbage to the east and Higger Tor to the west.

Longshaw Cafe

Highlight • Cafe

The excellent National Trust Cafe at Longshaw serves a reliably good coffee, brownie and scones. They also do light lunches, other cakes and snacks. Plus, there is a small shop on site where you can buy maps and other NT stuff.

Walked with Mark. Weather good/sunny. Longshaw Estate. Paths OK. Bit iffy returning back walking over big bolder rocks. Take your time.
