View from Bradwell Edge

Highlight (Segment) • Viewpoint

A bit less of an edge than some of the nearby gritstone exposures, Bradwell Edge still gives you awesome views over Bradwell and across the valley towards Castleton and Mam Tor. The climb up from the village is steep and hard work but it tends to be much quieter than the Mam Tor and Edale side of the valley and the views are well worth the effort.

Brough Lane

Highlight (Segment) • Trail

Brough Lane starts off as a proper surfaced road in Brough (northern end) but soon becomes broken and more of a gravel track. It is a byway so you will see bikes and occasionally off-road vehicles, but nothing should be fast and it's a nice easy surface to walk with good views. The lane continues over a high point of about 370m above Bradwell Edge and then joins back into the proper roads near Abney (southern end).

Navio Roman Fort

Highlight • Historical Site

The Roman Fort was stationed here as a crossroads guarding the trading and traveling routes in this area. Various carved stones and weaponry has been found here.
