NICOLETTA 🏔
September 9, 2023, Val Canè Rifugio Valzaroten Lago Pietra Rossa

Going up from Vione you arrive near the woods where a kind little man gives us the €5 pass to enter the Canè Valley!! We go up with the car to the last parking lot. We set off, our destination is the Cesare Valzaroten bivouac. The road is white gravel then cemented with large stones, it is crossed by a bridge with string to close and there begins the path in the bare forest, the sound of the river always accompanies us in the valley there are pastures of cows and a very friendly filly!! After crossing the second bridge, the climb towards the bivouac begins shortly after. The route does not present particular difficulties!! Once you arrive at the bivouac, the panorama of the surrounding peaks and the Adamello Group is spectacular. After having put something in my teeth I walk alone towards Lake Pietra Rossa the ascent here is quite challenging but doable for most, the lake has little water. I go around the lake and ascend with a small group of women I met there Have a nice excursion!⛰♥️

Due to forgetting to stop the Kamoot, it marks 1.5 km more and an additional negative difference in altitude done by car 😂

Well marked and very comfortable path up to the farmhouse. The most beautiful part begins right after the farm, continuing in the valley, crossed by a stream. The last stretch, which leads to the bivouac, is the steepest. You can stay in the bivouac: there is electricity, gas and 5 + 1 beds. We obviously went back down. They told us that usually there are ibexes there which you can also feed, but unfortunately they have not been seen today.
