This circular hike promises a lot of panoramas, taking you around the holiday village of Les Paccots and the ski area of the same name for almost 13 kilometers.
You start the hike directly in Les Paccots. At the Auberge Lac des Joncs you can refresh yourself a little on the sun terrace before the route takes you uphill through forest and mountain meadows for the next few meters. As you climb, you will be treated to unique views of the landscape of the Fribourg Prealps, so the effort is definitely worth it. If the visibility is good, you can even see Lake Geneva.
At the foot of the Dent de Lys you can rest a little and take in the wonderful panorama. This means you have also managed the altitude gain. The La Saletta mountain hut is a good place for a second stop. From the large terrace you have a wonderful view of the mountain panorama. The path then leads you downhill over alpine meadows and forest paths until you finally reach the holiday village of Les Paccots again.
Tip: Shortly after Belle Chaux you have the opportunity to make a detour to the Buvette Vuipay, where you can have an excellent meal.
