This easy hike takes you around the summit of the Gerlitzen Alpe. On the way you can enjoy the wonderful view and discover places of power - so take enough time for this tour. A real pleasure hike.
You start at the Gerlitzen summit, which you can easily reach by cable car from Annenheim or the Kanzelhöhe. From the summit you hike a little downhill to the so-called Bergreich, the respiratory organ of the Gerlitzen. You circle the summit anti-clockwise and cross the summit road.
On the south side, a bench with a view invites you to linger and enjoy. Here you will also be able to watch some paragliders. Because of the good thermals, the Gerlitzer Alpe is a paragliding paradise. At the Wetterkreuz you can once again marvel at the wonderful view of Lake Ossiach before you climb back to the summit and the mountain station. You start the journey into the valley relaxed.
