Summer has begun! A beautiful morning with @Aannunzi (Angelo), @Roberto Marrapodi and @Rosa Marino on his third excursion with us. A well-known area and tour done before; always suggestive.
Today I returned to the area of Olevano sul Tusciano (15 minutes from home). Clear weather with temperatures up to 27°. A splendid day enhanced by the colors of nature and spent together with @Aannunzi, @Tomas60,@Reborn, @Alfonso Tagliamonte, Antonio and Wladimir. About 15 km between CAI and dirt paths that took us first to the San Michele park where we visited the Travertini Cave, then towards the Olevano Castle passing under the Pappamondo banks. On the way back we visited the Convent of Santa Maria di Costantinopoli. Excursion without particular difficulties apart from the visit to the cave and the final stretch to reach the Castle. Tour completed on schedule. A very beautiful day.

Today hiking with my daughter Maira. We didn't go far from home, in the territory of Olevano sul Tusciano, on the Picentini mountains. An area I know well and which I wanted to explore by doing an unusual loop: starting from Ariano, where the hydroelectric power plant is located, we first headed towards the convent of Santa Maria di Costantinopoli, then up, to the ruins of the Castle of Olevano from which you can enjoy a wonderful panorama; then, we descended near the Tusciano river, where the San Michele Park is located, and from there we climbed up to the Grotto of San Michele with its excellent panoramas. Hike started at 7:30 AM and completed at 1:30 PM. 15-16 km of ups and downs with an elevation gain of about 830 m. An excellent workout for me who is recovering from a not-so-brilliant period in terms of physical efficiency. Beautiful Sunday in May, clear sky, few clouds, little wind, temperature between 13° in the morning and 26° at 1:00 PM. Today, a wonderful nature with fantastic colors. This is my contribution to the Komoot community.
