Starting in the village of Berching, the Hohe-Brunnen-Rundwanderweg leads you through the beautiful nature of the surrounding region. It mostly goes through a beautiful mixed forest, to fantastic views, a picturesque chapel and the remains of a castle stable.
The Hohe-Brunnen-Rundweg has its name from a special feature that you can discover during this varied tour: tufa terraces. They are about 40 meters long, 25 meters wide, seven meters high and were formed by the calcareous waters of this area. A really exciting highlight along the way!
The Hohe Brunnen is a very valuable geotope and should be protected. Enjoy the unspoilt landscape, but please stay on the paths and do not enter the pool!

Of course, the tufa terrace would have been just as beautiful in the bright sunshine ☀️ - but luckily you can't choose the weather yet... 🤷♂️
